deweys-readathonbutton1I think that one thing that is keeping me going this late in the readathon is cheerleading and leaving comments on other blogs!  I really appreciate all of you who have stopped by here.

I’m also very psyched to find that I’ve won a readathon prize — an attache case full of books and a chocolate monkey.  I’m sure I’m going to enjoy it all!

I know I have not read as much as other participants; but I’m not worried about that because I’m getting to read more than I usually do in any given 24-hour period.

So far, I have:

Completed two books.  “Bird by Bird”, by Anne Lamott; and “Chicken with Plums”, by Marjane Satrapi.

Read three short stories from “Interpreter of Maladies” by Jhumpa Lahiri.

Read 1/3 the way through “Queen of Dreams” by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.

Let’s see….that makes the total page number I’ve read so far:  504.    Not much, but like I’ve said, still more than I normally get to read in a day!

“Queen of Dreams” is a book I can stick with until the end, I think.  That’s a good thing!
